Polaris
Already a woman so confused by her past, she herself at one point no longer knew what was true or not - a reality or fabrication. An immensely powerful woman, and an equally alluring individual, Polaris very well strikes fear into the hearts of those that know her wrath, but also love from those who have grown to intimately enjoy her presence. No matter if she's insane, or not, Lorna will always be a powerhouse, and will always make sure those who do her wrong with be on the receiving end of her will if she's branded enough.
Real Name: Lorna Dane
Basic Powers: Manipulation of magnetism
Current Player: auraborealis
Affiliation: Euro-X
Recent Board History:
Destined for a series of misfortunate events, Polaris was a powerful woman in her initial days with the X-Men, dealing with the destruction of Krakoa while falling in love with the Summers brother, Havok. But as years wore on, Polaris was convinced that her true father was founded - Magneto - knowing she was adopted. Mind controlled to think as such, Lorna quickly dismissed the idea, as well as the brain washing technique, as she grew closer with Havok. Upon their wedding day, however, Havok left Polaris on her wedding day, causing the green-haired vixen to lose her sanity while beginning to question if Magneto truly was her real father, or not. Becoming darker as time wore on, more violent and taking more risks, Polaris started to grow close to Iceman, sufficiently creating a love-triangle between herself, Iceman and Havok. But officially, canonly, Polaris has calmed down - and knows Magneto truly is her father.

On neXus, Polaris' insecurities with her life have been greatly established. Trying to bottle in her emotions, Polaris has fought in several battles against Darkling, Sentinels, Mutinels and other widely based villians. But one of the epitome's in her life was during the great Gem battle, battling against Selene, watching as Havok was mind-controlled to kiss Madelyne Pryor as he turned around and killed her. Resurrected thanks to a spell which resurrected everyone, Polaris has yet to forgive the Summers brother, and has let a fury of emotions duke across her well being. Angry, sad, understanding, yet troubled, Polaris at times seems to be slipping back into her insane roots, but quickly forces such thoughts away while converting to her warm, yet strangely cold, self. With such a troubled character, an emotions changing at a rapid pace, Polaris has become a complex, but enjoyable character, to read up upon.

”Alright, let’s get this on the road.”

Lorna was quite ready to get the training session started and feeling good about it. It would have been nice to have the rest of the team with them, but for various reasons it was only the ones that were present. She watched Colossus head up to the control room and come back down. It was when he came back that she went to the far left corner of the far side of the room. She had a vague idea of what could happen, but then again perhaps it was better that she expected the unexpected. The green hair dive turned around and faced inward towards the center of the room. She took in a couple of deep breathes before closing her eyes just for a moment. When she opened them and the scenery changed Lorna spoke to herself before she slowly walked down that large and roomy stretch of maze. She knew that although this was a training simulation she still had to take it seriously because one could get hurt down here if not careful. The path that stood before her was roughly twenty-three or so yards long. She figured that it would be faster to fly down that path, but before she could levitate off the ground an energy blast collided with the ceiling bring debris down on, as well as around her. This caused her to react and throw her hands up to create a force field to deflect the debris. It covered her shortly until she rapidly expanded the field causing the debris to explode outwards and onto the bot that caused it.

The action had started a lot sooner than she anticipated. That only meant that she would get to have a lot more fun than intended with tearing these things apart. One, two…three…four, and five…what in the world is happening? Where is all of these bots coming from? A sixth one appeared and it was a bit apparent that these bots were working as a team when they started to gang up one her. An energy blast came forward from the first one in front of her while the second one proceeded with an attempt to surprise her from the left with a flying kick. An outstretched right hand, glowing with a brilliant green hue, absorbed the energy blast and with a spin to her left before using the stored energy on the second bot in the form of an electromagnetic bolt, catching it in mid air, and tearing it to pieces. The third bot projected another energy blast that she was able to dodge by levitating swiftly into the air only to blast it back with a concusive blast that sent on on a collision course with the fourth bot. It was because of that Lorna took out two birds with one stone. The fifth bot managed to scorch her right shoulder just slightly, only to find itself taken out of the picture by a lightning-like bolt that zig zagged its way from the left palm of Polaris. She then blasted the ceiling using the first bots trick to her advantage causing it to fall on the sixth bot resulting in it buckling under pressure, as well as covered with rubble.

There was nothing like a good scrap to get the blood flowing and to help keep her in shape. They are going to be traveling to New York soon and she wanted to look her best. Perhaps all of this fighting and training will promote a bit of weight loss. Lorna continued flying swiftly down the long pathway keeping her eyes open for any more bots and potiental traps. Lorna knew that the further she went into this maze the harder it was going to get so she kept on mentally reinforcing herself with positive thoughts. She could do this, and she knew she could; fore, this was just another step towards the road back to operating full time on the team. If this was going to be so she wanted to make sure that she was operating at her peak, so that she could give them the very best she can offer. She did notice that this maze was a bit larger and long than the one within the backyard of the Euro-X perhaps Piotr elaborated, as well as ran with the idea that she had suggested a bit more than she had anticipated. Even so, that was not important at the more, not more so than getting through this training session with as little injury as possible. The minor scorching she had did nothing more than to rip her uniform on her shoulder. It was certainly nothing that would keep her from peforming with as much proficiency as possible.
