April '06 Player Spotlight - GD86 Starting out with an invite from a fellow member at neXus, GD first joined the board right before neXus' first birthday. Taking up Synch, and very thoroughly reading up on the character's past history, GD is and was a prime example of what it took to make a great application. Welcomed and talking to almost everyone who had Instant Messaging, GD's knowledge of the X-Men universe, canonly, shot in his favor as he accepted a staff member's position as a Bio-Moderator. Given his sarcastic, jovial, yet blunt and straight-to-the-point attitude online, GD has no holes barred when it comes to situations, and isn't afraid to hit them head on when he needs to. Roleplaying a fantastically characterized Synch, very knowledgable about the strangest things ("Did you know if you converted all the fat on an average person into energy it would equal that of a small thermonuclear device?"), and a trustworthy friend, GD is just one example of a great player and friend both on and off the board! |

The kitchen was silent, that was the first thing that put Ev off a bit. The X-Kitchen is almost never quiet. With over 20 mutants in house there was almost someone in the kitchen at all times either walking through or cooking or drinking the milk straight from the bottle. A silent kitchen means that there is something going on. Finally over the silence he heard what sounded like a young man offering the word straws as a question.
Strange but no where near the strangest thing he had ever heard. Stiffuling a small giggle over “Straws?” in his head he walked to the kitchen to hear another voice ask, “Excuse me, do you come from India?” This started to make him wonder who all is the in the kitchen “The kitchen must be more packed then I thought,” thought the young man as he finally came around and entered the kitchen and began to take in the occupants. There was a boy in a full body suit, a man who looked like he was from India, a blond woman, a red head and the purple haired woman who Ev could only guess was Psylocke. With the odd hair colors purple seemed to belong to only one X-man. Upon taking in from the room more then just faces it suddenly became clear that there was a tense vibe in the room. “Knife in the table is never a good sign,” entered his mind with a small deal of shock on his face with him standing still in the entrance. Of course this could be a good time to make some introductions, especially with seeing another person of his age here. A smirk was put on his face as he tried to be his best good natured self. First impressions are important after all. “Um,” he began trying to figure out where to go next, “I’m Everett Thomas.” With that out of the way he began to make the exodus from the entrance of the kitchen to the bread basket to grab bread for a sandwich. After which he made the trip to the fridge giving the knife in table a large berth.. Once there he opened it and began pulling out some cheese some lunch meat and a soda. Once the sandwich was created he put it up to his mouth and took a bite. He again made his walk around the giving the knife its distance to avoid any possible telekinetic disembowelment that could happen. Then the soda was then pulled open he took a sip before stepping over to wither and taking a straw before he added, “Oh, straw.” Finally taking the steps away and leaning back against the counter next to Kevin while he waited for the conversation to continue crossing his arms. | |
